Wild Goose Bill Days is Wilbur’s annual community celebration held in May. It is named in honor of Town Founder Samuel (Wild Goose Bill) Condon/Condit, a pioneer who had a habit of shooting his neighbor’s pet geese for sport and later died in a gunfight. Stories abound describing the life and times of Wild Goose Bill, Wilbur’s colorful founder: Wild Goose Bill Life Story
